GMS Staff are all trained and qualified to produce a safe, non competitive camp experience. Each team of counselors are certified in: First Aid, CPR, Water Safety and Life Saving. We also travel with certified Life Guards in each group. Our counselors are skilled in Project Adventure activities and such skills as small boat handling, marine and environmental studies. We are proud to provide an average camper to counselor ratio of 6:1

Each camp counselor completes a week of training on Ram Island every year before Gloucester Museum School Project Adventure Camp begins. Each councilor is trained by doing, we rock climb, row, hike, boulder as a part of training. We pick out staff carefully, and each staff member has a different unique personality to add to the group.

“Adventure is worthwhile.”
